A social media influencer's attempt to shame a man for calling out her wearing 'painted pants' at the gym massively backfired.
Popular streamer Natalie Reynolds often hits the headlines, with some of the most notable coverage coming in December.
In the days between Christmas and New Year, when a lot of folks are staying away from the gym and eating a lot of chocolate, Natalie decided to do a 'social experiment' by wearing body paint to the gym.
Sharing details about her outfit, the content creator said: "So, I started getting this painted on me at 11:30am and I got done at 4:15pm.

"So, I'm sitting up for, like, five to six hours. It's painted on pants - so this is all paint. This is swimsuit bottoms."
The influencer then went to the gym, and it wasn't long before she was interrupted by a man who dubbed her outfit as 'inappropriate'.
"If you don't have clothes on, you need to be out of here, ma'am," to which Natalie responded: "I do have clothes on."
"Not fine, I work in the industry enough to know. I work in the entertainment field."

The man also appeared to tell the influencer that you're not supposed to 'videotape' in the gym as he walked off.
Natalie posted a short clip of the incident on X, where it quickly went viral.
"Guy in the gym presses me for wearing painted pants," the influencer captioned the clip.

And while Natalie may have expected an outpouring of love and support, the comments section was the complete opposite.
One user wrote: "Painted pants aren't real pants."
A second said: "That dude was 100 percent right. He called out your degenerate behaviour and you played the victim."
And a third commented: "I'm sick of these influencers walking around with security guards thinking they can just do whatever they want."

While the criticism was pretty strong, Natalie hit back at the comments with a further post.
In a tweet later the same day, the influencer clarified that she was wearing a gym bra and bathing suit bottoms and wrote: "Why everyone acting like I was naked lmao. The amount of women who wear pants up the ass at the gym… This is nothing bad at all."
It came after the streamer was even called out by X's community notes.

The note read: "The man in the video is protecting the overall gym etiquette according to which you should wear clothes suitable for exercise.
"Wearing unsuitable clothes or none at all is considered to be disrespectful towards the other. It is also a hygiene risk to others."
