Over the summer months, many holiday stories have come to the forefront - proving that not all trips are as fun as they are meant to be.
From the hot topic of plane etiquette to the dreaded sun bed wars every morning, it seems there really are a lot of contentious travel/holiday issues out there.
As a result of a recent viral video taken during a plane journey, much of the internet has been left divided.

Flights are pretty boring for most kids, so it is understandable why parents would want to give them something for their entertainment - though a hat with lights brighter than an acid rave is probably not what most passengers had in mind.
Footage of the hat in question shows a group of passengers trying to settle down on a late-night flight with low lights on before the camera pans over to a child wearing a hat blasting out pretty much every color you can think of.
It's clear that the reaction from the people on board wasn't the greatest as they tried to get some kip on the overnight flight.

In the comments of the TikTok posted by @malecastellonn, one person wondered 'where's a Karen when you need one', while another added they would 'volunteer to be a Karen' if nobody else said anything.
Someone else said they hoped the parents took the hat away and switched off the lights otherwise 'the child is going to learn the truth about Santa, the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy all in under six minutes'.
On the other hand, other TikTok users saw the funny side to the video, with one commenting: "This looks like a Modern Family episode lmao."
Meanwhile, another said: "Imagine trying to sleep and all of a sudden the plane turns into a rave."

Even a flight attendant weighed into the debate after seeing the video, and it is fair to say she certainly isn't impressed with the colorful hat.
She wrote: "As a flight attendant, I’d say put that away. There are people trying to rest, read, watch a movie etc. Also, there are people with disabilities, and this can be incredibly annoying and irritating for them.
"Leave stuff like this for home or amusement parks. Not in a tiny tin can at 30,000ft in the air. Some folks have sensitive eyes please consider others around you."

Whatever side of the fence you are on, this particular flight drama is certainly a new one.
