Six weeks have passed since the failed assassination attempt of Donald Trump.
The 45th former US president came within milliseconds of death on July 13 after 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks opened fire at him at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, from the slanted roof of a building just 150 meters to his right.

Since then, the FBI have been investigating the incident, which resulted in the death of father-of-two volunteer fire chief Corey Comperatore, and critically injured two others.
The presidential candidate didn't get away unscathed though, one of the multiple bullets fired struck him, grazing the top of his right ear.
Crooks, a kitchen worker, was armed with an AR-style rifle when he was shot dead by the Secret Service 26 seconds after he opened fire on the rally.
Now, the FBI is probing Crooks' family, including his dad Matthew Crooks - who according to a Mail Online source, is a gun enthusiast who has sold weapons to members of his family in the past.

The publication claim that its informant is a relative of the Crooks and wished to remain anonymous. Speaking to the paper, they said: "'The FBI still very much has questions about how much they knew and how he [Thomas] slipped through the net."
It is understood the agency wish to question the Crook's parents to find out exactly how much they knew, if anything, about their son's assassination attempt.
In a major move, Crooks' 53-year-old father has allegedly hired a team of some of the best attorneys in Pittsburgh to help him and his family through the inquiry.

According to the BBC and CNN, the shooter's parents tried to contact their son, and when they weren't able to reach him, they then contacted the police.
News about Crooks' dad lawyering up comes just weeks after the 20-year-old's body 'went missing'.
Clay Higgins, a Louisiana Republican tasked to review the motives behind the assassination attempt, recently came forward to claim that when he attempted to view the body of Crooks on August 5 as part of his inspection, he was told it wasn’t there.

The former police captain-turned-lawmaker revealed in a new report that when he asked officials if he could review the body, it ‘caused quite a stir and revealed a disturbing fact.’
The FBI had ‘released the body for cremation 10 days’ after the assassination attempt on Trump, and sent his remains back to his family.
