Sorry in advance if you're eating dinner, but a disgusting simulation has shown what happened when a band's tour bus accidentally unloaded 800 pounds of human waste onto sightseeing boat.

I mean, for the people on board the boat it really was the stuff of nightmares - but what exactly happened?

Well, the story has been recently explained by YouTuber Zack D. Films, who illustrated the incident with a revolting simulation. Don't say we didn't warn you:

On 8 August 2004, a tour bus belonging to Dave Matthews Band was moving in between two shows in Wisconsin.

At the time, the band were staying at Chicago’s Peninsula Hotel, with them ultimately deciding to use five coaches to get them around.

Well, one of those buses, which actually didn't have any of the band members on, made quite the dump over the Kinzie Street Bridge. Literally.

Driver Stefan Wohl decided to empty the coach's blackwater tank while stuck in traffic on the Chicago bridge.

Little did Wohl know was that the bridge had many gaps for the waste to escape through, and there was a bit of activity under the bridge.

You can see where this is going.

Chicago’s Little Lady, a tourist boat that offers a tour of the city on water, was passing underneath the bridge at the same time.

Filled with passengers, waste landed on the boat’s open-roof terrace, with nearly 3/4 of the 120 passengers on board soaked in the vile substance.

Illinois Attorney General described what that was like for passengers in a filling.

They penned: "The liquid waste was brownish yellow in color, and had a foul, offensive odor. The liquid human waste went into passengers’ eyes, mouths, hair, and onto clothing and personal belongings, many of which were soaked.

"Some of the passengers suffered nausea and vomiting as a result of exposure to the human waste."

Wohl ultimately pleaded guilty to reckless conduct and discharging contaminants to cause water pollution.

The bus driver was fined $10,000, sentenced to 150 hours of community service, and handed an 18-month probation period.

The simulation of the incident, which was initially uploaded to YouTube by Zack D. Films, has gone viral after being uploaded to Twitter. And it's safe to say the vast majority of the internet is finding it revolting.

"I would’ve been sick to my stomach I don’t even wanna eat," one person exclaimed.

Following the incident, the Dave Matthews Band paid the State of Illinois $200,000 in a settlement, while paying up an additional $50,000 each to the Chicago Park District and Friends of the Chicago River.
