A Las Vegas judge who was brutally attacked by a felon has since sentenced him in court.
Defendant Deobra Delone Redden was facing Clark County District Judge Mary Kay Holthus at the Regional Justice Center in Las Vegas on January 3 when the attack happened.
Warning: Distressing Footage:
Redden, who'd previously served prison time in Nevada on a domestic battery conviction, pleaded guilty in November last year to a reduced charge of attempted battery causing substantial bodily harm.

At the time of his arrival in court on January 3, he was not being held in custody and had asked the judge for leniency, describing himself as a 'person who never stops trying to do the right thing no matter how hard it is'.
But Holthus made clear that she intended to put Redden behind bars for the charge - which led the defendant to charge towards the bench and throwing himself over it towards her.
Redden landed on top of the judge, who had attempted to move out of the way, before court officials and officers joined in to try and restrain Redden.
He was then arrested and jailed at the Clark County Detention Center.

According to courthouse officials, Holthus suffered some injuries as she fell back against the wall but she was not hospitalized.
However, a courtroom marshal was taken to hospital for treatment after he suffered a gash on his forehead and a dislocated shoulder.
Chief county district attorney Richard Scow said the attack 'happened so fast', adding: "It was hard to know what to do."

Later that week, Judge Holthus returned to work.
On Friday (January 5), she ordered officers to bring Redden to court 'by any and all means necessary', the filing of new documents say, according to 8 News Now.
After the attack, Redden reportedly told an officer the judge 'has it out for [him]',' branding her 'evil'.
Redden faced Judge Holthus again in Clark County District Court on Monday (January 8) - this time wearing a face mask and covers over his hands.

There were also guards either side of him.
According to TMZ, the judge did not mention the attack whatsoever.
She did, however, hand him with a sentence of 19-48 months behind bars.

Holthus also 'made it clear' that the sentencing had not been changed from before the defendant attacked her.
“Any other issues that may arise from the events that occurred last Wednesday will be handled at a future date by a different court,” she said.
On top of that charge, Redden is also facing 13 separate charges following the attack in the courtroom.
He is due back in court on Tuesday (January 16).
