A woman has revealed how she was rejected from a job after she asked a 'basic' question at the end of the interview.
The woman had been interviewing for a role and despite thinking the process had gone 'really well', she was shocked when the recruiter messaged her to say she hadn't been successful in securing the job.
When you've spent weeks - or even months - going through a job application process and attending multiple interviews, being rejected can be a huge blow.

And often, candidates will ask for feedback and most decent employers will give honest answers over why they decided to go with somebody else.
But one woman was left stunned when she learnt the real reason why she missed out on a job offer.
After asking the recruiter why they'd turned her away, the recruiter explained: "They said they absolutely loved meeting you, but your questions were too financially orientated.

"... Apparently you asked about money a lot, is that true?"
The candidate was shocked by the reason, and responded: "You are joking, is this for real?
"I asked a couple of questions at the end as I wanted to clarify something around what was included in the benefits package.
"But for the rest of the interview, all of my questions were about the role itself."

The recruiter added that the employer was looking for someone 'more interested in the role rather than all about the money'.
"That is honestly crazy," she responded.
And entrepreneur Ben Askins agreed, after reading out the message exchange on TikTok.

He thought the employer had behaved ludicrously, explaining: "There's nothing to defend, it's a job interview, of course, people are going to be interested in the price and the benefits and the package that comes with it.
"That's the sole reason why they're in that room. I know people like to think they want the love of the game and they want to show keenness and all that... of course that helps but ultimately the reason people go to work is to get money to support themselves.
"This idea that you can't ask basic questions in an interview is so frustrating and the fact they've actually denied it based on that is absolutely ludicrous.
"... It is a job, not a hobby, you complete and utter idiots."

The TikToker also had plenty of criticism for this boss's 'idiotic' response to his employee's question about money - as well as this brutal message one woman received from hers during her wedding day.
