A woman in Glasgow has shared a simple hack for drying clothes in just two hours.
The days of being yelled at for leaving the drier on are gone, as Alix Byrne has shared this incredible hack to TikTok.
Byrne discovered the hack while living in a one-bedroom flat with her partner, Andrew.

Check it out:
The video shows Byrne starting her normal washing machine cycle, then turning on the radiator, placing the clothes horse with wet clothes on it next to the radiator, and throwing a fitted bed sheet over the whole thing.
The whole manoeuvre takes hardly any time and, honestly, we wish we'd known about it sooner.

Byrne explained how her 'eureka moment' came about by chance one day, when she was looking for somewhere to hang a bed sheet.
She said, 'I was trying to find where else to hang the bed sheet to dry, apart from over the kitchen door which ends up smelling of whatever you’re cooking.'
Byrne continued: 'I usually keep my clothes frame by the radiator, especially in winter and I just thought ‘why not throw the bed sheet over the frame, tuck the ends behind the radiator and under the stands then the hot air from the radiator will dry my clothes in hours.'
After discovering the hack, Byrne decided to share it with her followers, saying, 'I think the reason this hack would benefit people is it saves money on tumble drying. You probably have the heating on anyway as it’s January.'

She added that it saves her from the 'never-ending cycle' of washing and drying. It also helped free up space in her flat, as she could pack the clothes horse away in between washes.
TikTok users were just as thrilled about Byrne's discovery.
One responded, 'Done this for years it’s actually brilliant all my clothes dry so quick!'
Another added 'definitely giving this a go, takes about three days to dry an airer full of washing'.

Byrne proceeded to explain how to maximise results saying, 'People ask if dampness occurs, but I use a double bed sheet over a king sheet so it’s not totally covering the whole clothes frame and there’s still gaps for the air to escape and heat the room up – win win!'
She also added, 'If you’re worried about damp, crack a window slightly or have a dehumidifier nearby'.
And, we're off to get our clothes horse and a sheet.
