Woman revealed how she used dating apps to stay at different men’s houses after unexpectedly becoming ‘homeless’

Woman revealed how she used dating apps to stay at different men’s houses after unexpectedly becoming ‘homeless’

Australian Emily Webb said you shouldn't pay rent if you're 'hot'

A woman revealed a 'trick' she used to find somewhere to shack up after becoming homeless.

Emily Webb, 25, says she found herself living out of her car on Australia's Gold Coast over the summer.

The 25-year-old TikToker told her 65k followers how she'd been crashing on friends' sofas, but found another way to find somewhere to sleep so she doesn't become a 'burden'.

Australia's ongoing housing crisis has made finding a place to live increasingly difficult for many people.

Emily said she has struggled to find a place to live, despite offering to pay as much as a year's worth of rent in advance.

She earns a high income from an OnlyFans account, as well as almost 170k followers on Instagram.

She had a budget of around AU $1,000 (around US $660) a week for rent, but was still struggling.

Nonetheless, Emily said that she wasn't too worried about her situation as she had another ploy to help her find somewhere to stay while she looks for a flat.

This involved using dating app Hinge to find men whose flat she can then crash at for a few days, before moving on to the next one.

In a TikTok video posted in June, she said: “I can’t believe I’ve been wasting my money on rent all this time. Life hack: If you’re hot, don’t ever pay rent."

She told news.com.au: “I’ve been on dating apps finding different guys’ places to stay with, and it is going surprisingly well. I don’t usually tell them. I don’t want to put pressure on anyone."

The adult content star said she saved money while not paying her AU $1,000 a week in rent, adding: “It is good not paying rent. The places I’m looking at are around $1,000 a week, and I’m saving so much."

The 25-year-old shared that she is comfortable using her 'pretty privilege' to her advantage in her difficult situation.

However, people soon called her out in the TikTok comments section. One wrote: "You are sending all the wrong messages to viewers stop sponging off people!" as a second agreed: "This is a very dangerous game you're playing..."

A third resolved: "I've seen a few of these videos and I've come to the conclusion this is satire lol."

Some five months on, many might be wondering how Emily is doing now. It sounds like she's getting on quite fine...

In September, she shared a story time detailing how her 'two boyfriends' found out about each other while she was in Bali.

And in her more recent TikToks, the star seems to be posting consistently from the same apartment, so it appears she managed to find somewhere to live after all.

Did her quest for a new home also find her love? Aside from her 'two boyfriend' saga, it's not exactly clear.

While Emily managed to survive her 'homeless era' unscathed, her advice should be taken with caution.
