iPhone users have been left disappointed following the latest iPhone iOS 18 update to drop on Apple devices.
Fresh off the back of detailing the iPhone 16 model of phone, Apple has released its latest update, iOS 18.
Like with any new iPhone update, Apple has introduced a bunch of new features including home screen customization and a redesign of the control center.

With such a feature, users can rearrange and resize their controls, even being able to add more controls using the Controls gallery.
iOS 18 also allows iPhone users to lock and hide apps using Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode - something that should prove handy.
Photos has also seen a drastic change with iOS 18, as you now see around 30 pictures on the screen, instead of a list of tabs when you open the app.

The aim with this feature from Apple is pretty simple; they want users to have more customization when it comes to their photos.
However, it hasn't exactly played out that way, with many iPhone users flocking to social media to voice their dismay.
Taking to Twitter, one iPhone user penned: "I regret to say that apple did not cook with the iOS 18 photos app.
"Basic tasks feel twice as hard now. all the navigation is janky and non-standard. There’s serious glitches (dragging to reorder albums is broken), it feels like a react native app."

A second added: "The new Photo App in iOS 18 is one of the worst designs Apple has ever released. I can’t believe it survived multiple betas. I hate it so much."
A third person said: "iOS 18 Photos app is really bad, I was hoping people were just wrong but no, it’s unusable and has barely any memory allocated (but that could just be a bug)."
While a fourth remarked: "The iOS 18 photos app is such an unintuitive mess. Nothing makes sense anymore, the whole thing is just a never ending swipe up & down atrocity. @Apple please add an option to revert to old UI design!”

And a fifth asked: "Apple, what are you doing with iOS 18? This layout looks awful.
"Why do modern OS layouts have to be so round? What happened to edges?
"I don’t find any of this visually appealing at all."
