Call of Duty fans have been left intrigued by the real life politicians who have popped up in the trailer for the next Black Ops game.
The surprise appearances came as Microsoft released the trailer for the highly-anticipated game today (28 May), as well as announcing the 'full reveal' date for 9 June.
Titled 'The Truth Lies', the trailer is filmed completely in black and white and opens with someone hitting 'record' on a tape player.

Over the next minute, a whole range of familiar political figures - both dead and alive - make an appearance and deliver various cryptic comments.
The trailer leans into the theory that the game will take place sometime in the 1990s, potentially during the events of the Gulf War between Iraq and the US.
Things kick off with Bill Clinton, who ominously claims: "Your whole life is a lie."
Fans are later able to see Margaret Thatcher, who says: "Behind closed doors, where we hide the world's secrets."

Other recognizable figures in the trailer include George H. W. Bush, Colin Powell, and Saddam Hussein, and fans have been quick to share their thoughts on the reason for their inclusion.
One person speculated about the fact that many of the figures are dead, writing: "Please tell me Clinton, Thatcher, Hussein, and Bush are gonna be the playable cast on a secret zombies map that you can only unlock after the campaign like Five in og Black Ops."
Another claimed: "Margaret Thatcher Warzone skin confirmed."

Though some gamers had lost faith in the Call of Duty franchise over the years, many have admitted that the trailer has intrigued them, especially with the comments hinting at some big conspiracy set to be uncovered.
"The vibes from this marketing so far got me convinced cod is back to [Black Ops 2] level, at least the campaign will be," one fan wrote on X.
Another commented: "This is the most I’ve actually been excited for a Call of Duty game. I don’t think we’re prepared for how dumb this is going to be."

Others have gone as far as to claim the new instalment will be the 'game of the year'.
As well as releasing the trailer, Microsoft has confirmed the arrival of Call of Duty Black Ops 6 day-one on Xbox Game Pass.
More details and an in-depth look at gameplay are set to be revealed from 1pm Eastern time on June 9, with Activision promising it will be a 'dark new chapter' in the franchise.
