Jeff Bezos face-planted into the dirt while trying to greet his fiancée and crew after the Blue Origin space flight.
The Amazon and Blue Origin founder apparently got a little bit too excited greeting the all-female crew and his fiancée, Lauren Sánchez, when they safely touched down on Earth on Monday morning (April 14).
The historic launch saw Sánchez and five other famous faces, including pop star Katy Perry, former NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, documentary producer Kerianne Flynn, civil rights activist Amanda Nguyễn and journalist and CBS Mornings co-host Gayle King, go into space for 11 minutes.

They departed from Launch Site One in West Texas today, at 10am EDT.
A livestream of the moment it landed in the Texas desert hilariously saw 61-year-old Bezos trip and fall face-first to the floor while eagerly greeting the team.
The world's second richest man could then be seen celebrating with the journalist, who announced their engagement in May 2023, after she came out of the capsule.

Sánchez then hugged the rest of her family after the heartwarming moment, who were waiting with Bezos at the landing site.
“I can’t put it into words. We got to see the Moon!” she commented after landing with tears in her eyes. “The Earth looked so quiet… I don’t think you could describe it.”
Her trip comes as Bezos enjoyed Blue Origin's first space tourism mission and had told his partner that the experience, marking the company's 11th human flight for its New Shepard program, would be life-changing for her.

The crew went into orbit about 62 miles above our home planet, just above the Karman Line that is considered the boundary to outer space.
The team all got to enjoy floating weightlessly within the capsule for three minutes.
The flight was the first all-women crew to launch into space since Valentina Tereshkova was sent into a solo orbit by the Soviet Union in 1963, and allowed the team to see the vast void as well as the Moon and Earth.

Perry said she would '100 percent' record a song about the experience.
The 'Hot N Cold' hitmaker, who also apparently sang 'What a Wonderful Life' on the descent, commented: “I feel super connected to love.”
The star took a daisy flower with her on the flight, in reference to her daughter Daisy, and said: “Daisies are common flowers but they grow through any condition. They grow through cement, cracks, walls. They are resilient, they are strong, they are everywhere.
“Flowers, to me, are God’s smile but they are also a reminder of our beautiful Earth. The beautiful magic is everywhere, all around us, even in a simple daisy.”

The pop singer also said she was touched by an unlikely coincidence to do with the capsule's name before launch.
She said her mom refers to her by the nickname 'Tortoise', which is also the name of the capsule, as well as 'Feather' which appeared on the front of the vessel.
Jared Isaacman, a billionaire tech CEO and President Donald Trump’s pick to lead NASA, also congratulated the crew on Twitter.
He said: “Congratulations to Blue Origin and the NS-31 crew. Opening this incredible frontier - from the few to the many - is the dream.”
According to the New York Post, Blue Origin does not disclose how much spaceflights costs, but a seat on its first-ever flight went for $28 million in auction.
