I can't remember what gift I got for my fifth birthday, but if I had to guess I'd say some new coloring pencils, or a cool new t-shirt.
What I do know, is that I did not get a Hermès Birkin bag worth $20,000. I'm pretty sure I'd remember that.
It might sound like a wild gift for a kid, but it's exactly what Cardi B and Offset decided to give their daughter, Kulture Kiari Cephus, when she celebrated her birthday yesterday (10 July).

The couple welcomed their first child together in 2018, two weeks after Cardi announced that she and Offset had tied the knot, and the mum has been showering her daughter with both love and gifts ever since.
She celebrated Kulture's birthday in a post on Instagram, sharing a series of photos of the now-five-year-old posing in a pink leotard and tutu.
In one snap, Kulture could be seen holding a pink leather bag. In another, the young girl was sat at a pink piano, with the bag resting on top.

It's not unusual for kids to want little handbags of their own, but this wasn't a cheap purse from Target. It was actually a pink Hermès Birkin ’25 Bag, worth approximately $20,000 (£15,500).
One of the coveted bags was actually auctioned off by Sothebys with an estimated price range of $22,000 - $28,000 (£17,000 - £21,700).
On the site, the bag was described as having 'Bubblegum Pink epsom leather with palladium hardware and has contrast stitching, front toggle closure, clochette with lock and two keys, and double rolled handles'.

Needless to say, then, it's a pretty nice gift.
The bag is the latest in a little collection Kulture now has of Birkin bags, having previously been gifted one worth approximately $48,000 (£37,000) for her third birthday, and getting her first bag when she was just two years old.
The bag wasn't the only way Cardi and Offset marked their daughter's birthday; the family also enjoyed an extravagant day out at DreamWorks Water Park at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in New Jersey.

Kulture took her Birkin bag out for the day as she met Blue from Blues Clues, and enjoyed cakes, balloons and a DJ in a room set up just for her.
Cardi praised Offset for planning the event, though the mom did admit in an Instagram Story that she would have invited a few more people - aka '100' - if she'd known about how much space they had to celebrate.
It definitely seemed like a memorable day - let's just hope Kulture doesn't forget it all in a few years' time.
