Elizabeth Banks believes her upcoming film Cocaine Bear could ultimately end her career.
If you’re going to fail, fail big. At least, that's how Banks sees it.
In a recent interview with Variety, the actor spoke about when she first dipped her toes into the directing pool with the Pitch Perfect films and Charlie’s Angels.

The 2019 reboot of the Charlie's Angels franchise suffered an awkward run in cinemas, with it only earning $73.3 million at the box office, despite having a budget of between $48 million to $55 million.
Banks, who wrote, directed, produced and starred in the film, tweeted after its release: “Well, if you’re going to have a flop, make sure your name is on it at least 4x.”
However, the Hunger Games star believes her most recent flick, which has been rated R for 'Bloody Violence and Gore', could put the final nail in her Hollywood coffin.

She told Variety: “Cocaine Bear is a ginormous risk.
“This could be a career-ender for me.”
But the 12 million views for the trailer, set to be released later this month, prove otherwise.
Cocaine Bear tells the real-life story of a 500 pound (226 kg) bear that consumed a staggering amount of the party drug.

The black bear had stumbled across the white powder that had fallen out of a plane bound for the US state of Georgia and was piloted by drug smuggler Andrew Thornton.
Unfortunately for Thornton, he later jumped out of the plane with a drug load that proved to be too heavy as the pilot crash landed to his death.
His body was later discovered in the driveway of a residential home in Knoxville.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigations suggested he may have hit his head on the plane's tail and failed to open his parachute before plunging to the ground.
The upcoming outrageous comedy will star Keri Russell (The Americans), Ray Liotta (The Many Saints of Newark), Alden Ehrenreich (Solo: A Star Wars Story), O’Shea Jackson Jr. (Straight Outta Compton) and Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Modern Family).
These oddballs of cops, criminals, tourists and teens converge in a Georgia forest when the apex predator goes on a coke-fueled rampage for more blow...and blood.
These unlikely strangers must join forces to survive the attack.

Shortly after hearing the 1985 story, Banks was compelled to bring it to the big screen, as we’ve never heard a tale quite like this.
“I really felt like this is so f**ked up that this bear got dragged into this drug run gone bad and ends up dead,” she said
“I felt like this movie could be that bear’s revenge story.”
Cocaine Bear is set to be released February 23.
