There are some films that manage to reel in A-list talent, and nobody knows how, but maybe Al Pacino’s admission might shine a light on this conundrum.
The living legend is known for his roles in films such as Scarface and The Godfather, but there was one movie he agreed to which went on to earn him a dishonorable Razzie award.
If you don’t know what a Razzie is, it’s like the Oscars but for bad films, and only the worst will receive recognition.

For Pacino, there was one character he played in particular which left the audience and critics in agreement that it’s terrible.
He revealed to the New York Times that there was a reason behind his choice to take on an Adam Sandler project, despite his extensive portfolio of serious flicks.
According to the actor, it was a personal situation which made him say yes to the offer.

However, his decision to join Sandler's comedy flop has long puzzled everyone who has since watched the film.
Thankfully, he told all and it makes total sense to most people who read his interview.
Well, apart from some on Reddit, who were less than sympathetic.
One person wrote: “I bet he has a couple mill in his sock...”

Another said: “Boggles my mind how people like this run out of money.”
The film in question was the infamous 2011 Jack and Jill where he played a fictionalised version of himself, who was extravagant, and a little unhinged.
The film focused on one of Sandler’s characters tying to hire the Oscar winner for a Dunkin' Donuts commercial, and chaos unfolded.

It won him the not so prestigious awards for the Worst Supporting Actor and Worst Screen Couple at the Razzies.
While many were miffed about his participation in the film, he had a simple answer.
It was down to his financial woes.
He shared during the interview: “My accountant was in prison, and I needed something quickly.”

His accountant was sentenced for stealing money from his clients to fund his lavish lifestyle, and although Pacino didn’t confirm whether he had been a victim, he realised he needed money as soon as possible.
The accountant, Kenneth Starr, was sentenced to seven and a half years in prison in 2010 for taking a whopping $33 million.
The 84-year-old actor said: "There came a point in my life when I needed a role because I realised I had no more money. I needed something fast. So I took this role.”
The role meant that he was able to continue living his life and paying his bills, and fans couldn’t fault that.
One person wrote: “Even if he did a bad job they still had to give him that 2 mill.”
Another said: “He didn’t even do a bad job, he was the best part of a terrible movie.”
“It’s not unethical to take a role in a sh*tty movie, it’s just a job, so good on him for securing the bag,” said another while one person wrote: “The bills don’t care if the movie was a flop or not because they’re gonna keep coming regardless. Work is work.”
