Dax Shepard asked Cynthia Erivo the question we've all been thinking...
Erivo is currently doing the rounds ahead of the release of Wicked on Friday (November 22). The actress stars as Elphaba in the highly anticipated movie adaption of the musical, while Ariana Grande plays Glinda.
Erivo recently had a lot of say about a fan edit of the Wicked poster, and labeled their version as 'offensive'.

In the edit, the actor's eyes were completely in the shadows of her hat, which made her face barely recognizable.
There was also an AI video made of her and Grande's characters getting into a fight.
Responding to the poster and video, Erivo wrote on social media: "This is the wildest, most offensive thing I have seen, equal to that awful AI of us fighting, equal to people posing the question ‘is your ***** green’.

"None of this is funny. None of it is cute. It degrades me. It degrades us. The original poster is an ILLUSTRATION. I am a real life human being, who chose to to look right down the barrel of the camera to you, the viewer… because, without words we communicate with our eyes."
Now Erivo has faced another uncomfortable situation while being interviewed by Dax Shepard on his Armchair Expert podcast.
The pair had an extensive chat about a range of topics, but there's one question in particular that's got people talking.

For anyone who has seen pictures of Erivo of late, you'll know that she's been sporting some pretty impressive acrylic nails that are incredibly long.
With her statement look in mind, Shepard went on to ask the actress a 'crazy' and 'inappropriate' question.
"When you’re wiping your butt…" he said, before Erivo interjected saying that she had a feeling that that's what Shepard was going to talk about.

Going on to reply to his query, the Luther: The Fallen Sun star said: "Everybody asks that question, and my answer is nobody uses just their fingers to wipe their backside. You use tissue, correct? And you wipe!"
Shepard went on to ask further: "I guess my question is does the tissue go on the tip of the fingernails or do you try to get the tissue?"
"Pads of the fingers," Erivo confirmed, adding that she folds her toilet paper rather than scrunching it.

The actror, who is an Oscar short of becoming an EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Awards) winner, admitted that the line of questioning was a bit 'annoying' but didn't seem to be offended (fortunately).
"Here’s the thing, there are people who do not have nails who need to check how they’re wiping," Erivo went on to quip - and she's not wrong.
