Fans of Italian fashion designer Donatella Versace showered her with compliments about her appearance as she attended the launch of the The Devil Wears Prada musical in London.
Versace, 69, walked the red carpet alongside Elton John, Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour and actor Vanessa Williams on Sunday (December 1), dressed in a sparkling gold minidress.
The fashion designer posed for a series of pictures before later posting them on Instagram with a caption gushing about the musical, the music for which has been written by John.

"@eltonjohn you are a genius. I was hooked from the first note to the last. The show is mesmerizing," she wrote.
Though Versace's post focused on the musical, it was her appearance that caught her followers' attention when she shared her photos online.
Comments described the designer as looking 'incredible', 'stunning' and 'perfect', with one person writing: "The hair color is perfection!"

Another added: "Donatella you look AMAZING!"
Some of her followers went as far as to suggest Versace looked almost unrecognizable in comparison to previous images she's shared, with the Twitter account Pop Crave posting a photo from the London event and writing: "Donatella Versace debuts new look at opening night of the Devil Wears Prada Musical."
"This is shocking not gonna lie," one person wrote about her transformation, as another added: "I had to do a double take. She looks AMAZING!!"

The new look prompted some to speculate Verace may have undergone a cosmetic procedure, and while she hasn't commented publicly on undergoing surgery, the designer said in a 2010 interview that she didn't believe in a 'totally natural' look for women.
"I don’t even know what my natural color is. Natural? What is natural? What is that?" she said at the time. "I do not believe in totally natural for women. For me, natural has something to do with vegetables."
While Versace might not be up for revealing her completely natural self, other viewers suggested her appearance in the latest photos may simply be the result of a filter or photo touch-up.
One person commented: "It doesn’t appear like Donatella Versace got new work done, it was just a good filter & some editing."
