Noah Cyrus shares public message of support to father Billy Ray amid family drama

Noah Cyrus shares public message of support to father Billy Ray amid family drama

Noah Cyrus has spoken out after her brother hinted she had become estranged from her father

Noah Cyrus is the latest sibling of the Cyrus family to weigh in on the family feud involving their father.

In case you missed it, the Cyrus family are in a bit of a spat at the moment.

It all started when Billy Ray Cyrus - a father-of-six to the rather famous brood, including Grammy winner Miley Cyrus - performed at Donald Trump's inauguration ceremony on January 20.

The 'Achey Breaky' heart singer delivered a questionable performance and his adopted son, Trace Cyrus, revealed in a heartbreaking post on Instagram that the family were worried about Billy Ray's mental health.

He hinted that the star has an estranged relationship with his younger sister, Noah, writing that she 'deserves better'.

"Noah desperately has wanted you to be a part of her life and you haven't even been there for her. That's your baby girl. She deserves better. Somehow just like me she still idolizes you though", his letter read in part.

Less than a week later, Trace claimed Billy Ray had threatened him with legal action over the post.

Since the bombshell, the rest of the Cyrus clan appear to be rallying around the 63-year-old, with Noah being the latest to voice her support.

The 25-year-old took to her Instagram Stories on Friday (February 7), PEOPLE reports, to share Billy Ray's new single, 'Lost'.

She added with a snippet of the track: "So proud of my Dads INCREDIBLE new single LOST with my good, old friend @samtinnesz and @tommeeprofitt."

Her support comes as Braison Cyrus also recently spoke out amid the family drama and revealed he had been working on some new music with his father.

"I don't have any bad feelings towards anyone in my family," the 30-year-old told PEOPLE.

"I've spent this past year getting to know my dad better than I ever have," he continued. "I’ve heard stories, jokes and songs that I don’t think anyone else has.

"It’s an opportunity to tell my dad’s story through music and I’m fortunate to be able to take it. Music, stories and family are the most important things to my dad, so to bring the two together is a full circle endeavour."

Meanwhile, Billy Ray celebrated Miley's latest Grammy Award on February 2, which she won for best country duo/group performance for her duet with Beyoncé on 'II Most Wanted'.

"Congratulations @mileycyrus and @beyonce on their well-deserved @recordingacademy Grammy wins!" he wrote on Instagram, adding he 'couldn't be prouder!!!'

Last year, Miley made headlines at the Grammys as fans noticed her father didn't get a mention during her acceptance speech for her win of Record of the Year.

This year, she brought boyfriend Maxx Morando and her mom, Tish, to the ceremony and 'liked' her dad's Instagram post.

Trace has since insisted that his scathing letter came from a place of love as he urged his dad to get help after celebrating his own 18 month milestone of sobriety from alcohol.

Part of the post read: "We are all hanging on to memories of the man we once knew and hoping for the day he returns. You’re not healthy Dad and everyone is noticing it."

Billy Ray's ex-wife, Firerose, also apparently echoed some of these concerns to Page Six, saying it is 'very sad' to see 'those same struggles'.

Then, the 35-year-old Metro Station star said it was a 'disgrace' Billy Ray threatened him with legal action and said he should be 'ashamed'.

"I will always love you but I no longer respect you as a man. Everyone close to you is terrified to tell you how they really feel," he continued. "I’m not. Get help."

UNILAD previously contacted Billy Ray's reps for comment.
