Britney Spears' husband Sam Asghari joked about the prenup he and the singer signed ahead of their marriage which is now reported to have ended.
Spears and Asghari have remained quiet about their relationship since it was reported on Wednesday (16 August), that Asghari had filed for divorce.
The news came from a person familiar with the filing just hours after outlets began to report that Spears and Asghari had decided to go their separate ways following their marriage in June 2022.

The pair signed a prenuptial agreement before their wedding to outline what would happen to their assets in the event of a divorce, and at the time Asghari joked about what exactly the agreement would include.
In a post shared after he proposed to Spears in 2021, Asghari indicated that fans had reached out to question whether he and Spears would be protecting their assets when they tied the knot.
"Thank you to everyone who is concerned about the prenup," Asghari wrote in an Instagram Story responding to the concerns.

He went on to make light of the agreement, joking: "Of course, we're getting an ironclad prenup to protect my Jeep and shoe collection in case she dumps me one day."
Asghari added two laughing emojis to indicate he wasn't being serious, but fast forward a couple of years and the prenup now seems to be much less of a laughing matter.
Following the reports of the divorce filing, Page Six reported that Asghari is now trying to get more money than originally agreed in the prenup in order to keep secrets about Spears to himself.

Asghari is allegedly 'attempting to negotiate concessions beyond his prenup and threatening to go public with extraordinarily embarrassing information about Britney unless he gets paid'.
"That’s what Sam is focused on," an insider told Page Six.
However, another source claimed Spears was being 'protected' by her team and that the end of their marriage would be 'respectful'.
“It’s blackmail and it’ll never happen,” they told the publication.

Page Six also reported that the prenup signed by the couple was done in Spears' 'favour', citing a source who claimed: “Any money she made before the wedding is protected."
The decision to file for divorce is said to have come after Asghari confronted Spears over rumors she was unfaithful to him, though it's currently unclear whether there is any truth to the claims.
Sources told TMZ Asghari has since moved out of the home he shared with Spears.
UNILAD has contacted representatives for Asghari for comment.
