Wesley Snipes has beef with Ryan Reynolds... or so they want you to think.
Snipes is best known for starring in movies like White Men Can't Jump, Money Train, Coming 2 America and - most famously - the Blade franchise.
Snipes first took on the role of the Marvel superhero and half-human vampire killer in 1998.

Ryan Reynolds later joined the Blade cast as Hannibal King in the third film, Blade: Trinity.
And now Snipes and Reynolds have reunited on the big screen once again as Snipes reprised his role of Blade for Deadpool & Wolverine.
His role in the highly-anticipated film came about after a simple text from Reynolds.

"It started with a text from Ryan Reynolds," Snipes recalled to Entertainment Weekly. "I saw a text and he says 'I want to talk to you.'"
Going on to note their so-called feud, Snipes went on to quip: "I was like, I hate this guy."
He quickly reassured everyone that he was only kidding, however.
"We've been playing this for like two decades," Snipes explained. "We've actually liked each other the whole time."

Following Reynolds' initial text, the father-of-four went on to express his hopes that Snipes would reprise his role of Blade for Deadpool & Wolverine, but Snipes 'did not think it was possible'.
The 61-year-old said: "I didn't think we would be able to pull it off. I didn't think that Marvel was into it, Disney was into it - also because they had Mahershala [Ali] cast for the next upcoming version of it."
It was announced at the 2019 San Diego Comic-Con that Marvel was rebooting the well-loved franchise, with Oscar-winner Ali taking over the role of the vampire hunter, but it's since faced a series of delays.

Giving an update back in December 2023, Green Book actor Ali said: "We’re working on it. That’s the best I could tell you."
"I’m really encouraged with the direction of the project. I think we’ll be back at it relatively soon," he added.

Snipes doesn't have any involvement in the Blade reboot, but has given Ali his blessing in taking on the infamous character.
"I don’t have any involvement, but I support the young artists and I support Marvel in their business decisions," he revealed to Uproxx in 2021.
Speaking of Ali, Snipes continued: "It’s a beautiful thing. I think he’s a heck of a job. He’s got a heck of a job on his hands."
