Rebel Wilson's 'Year Of Love' Helped Her Find 'The One'

Actress Rebel Wilson has revealed how she has found love with her 'Disney Princess' after a year of endless dates and searching for love.

The Pitch Perfect actress spoke out about her new relationship with designer Romana Agruma. The pair have gone public with their relationship after Rebel revealed she pushed herself to date continually for a year before settling down.

Speaking in an interview on the U Up? podcast, Rebel explained: "I think I went out with about 50 people in that one year, but some of them were just one date and then you think, 'Oh, no.'

"I deliberately wanted to push myself to date a bunch of people and gain that experience, which I know is not normal, but it really helped me find out what I liked and what I didn't like."

She continued: "It was a fun thing and I don't think anybody got hurt by it or anything and nobody else knew - just me and my close friends."

Whilst 50 dates didn't turn up any perfect love matches, it was down to some keen matchmaking from a friend that led Rebel to find her current relationship.

She explained: "I am now happily in a relationship… I met them at a friend's set-up. He had known both of us for at least five years and he thought we would hit it off - and then we did!

"I think that escalates things quicker, meeting someone from a trusted source. I can trust that they are who they say they are, which is something that you don't really know on the apps."

Rebel also revealed how she and Romana spoke on the phone for ages before deciding to meet face to face.

Rebel told People: "That was a really good way to get to know each other. It was a bit old-school in that sense — very romantic."

The actress, who is best known for her roles in films like How To Be Single and Pitch Perfect, went 'Instagram official' with Romana yesterday (9 June).

Sharing a picture of the two of them, Rebel wrote: "I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince… but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess."

Prior to settling down with fashion designer Romana, Rebel is known to have dated businessman Jacob Busch, whom she split with in February 2021 after four months of dating.
