Reddit users were gobsmacked after learning what employees at an unnamed company can expect to receive after 20 years of service.

It sucks to feel unappreciated at work, so most companies put just a little effort here and there to show that their just as grateful for their employees as employees are for their jobs.

As the years go on and you've fully committed to a job role, it seems entirely logical that the company would show their appreciation for the hard work, however, a man took to Reddit to share that this isn't always the case, as his unbelievable 'company benefits' left readers in disbelief.

Shared to the pretty apt Reddit thread, /mildlyannoying, one user shared his company's plan for what each lucky employee will receive throughout each of their years of service, and it's pretty astonishing.

The image showed the letter given to employees, with the first milestone being when they've worked there for a year, they will receive a letter of appreciation from senior management and a 'one year anniversary pin.'

Yep, a pin.

There was a few years in which the company's employees received an award for their dedication, with them getting tokens of appreciation after 1, 3, 5, 10, 15 and 20 years, which all varied in quality (apparently).

On the third year of service, the award they chose to give was another anniversary pin (now you can wear them both!) but this time along with a Yeti Mug.

A employee who has given a decade of their life to the company would be due to receive another endless anniversary pin, along with one day of paid time off to use, the same goes for fifteen years service, only they're offered two days PTO.

For working for the unnamed company for a whole twenty years, the employee will be offered another of the pins that have haunted them for years, as well as four days of paid time off.

The original poster felt the need to add alongside the image that he does not plan to work there long enough to receive an Employee Award, but was taken aback by the document nevertheless.

They wrote: "I don't plan on being here that long anyway, but this is underwhelming and slightly anticlimactic."

Other Reddit users couldn't believe the company awards offered, one commented: "A pin! I would genuinely rather have nothing. Don’t even offend me with the pin.”

Another disgruntled poster added: "That’s better than a plant, which is what I received after 20."

Another made a tounge-in-cheek addition, simply posting: "No pizza?...'
