Cameron Diaz has recreated her infamous ‘hair gel’ do more than two decades after There’s Something About Mary first hit cinemas.
It’s been a whopping 24 years since the movie was released but who among us can honestly say they don’t still cringe at the mere thought of Mary (played by Diaz) deciding to style her hair with some ‘gel’ she found on Ted’s (Ben Stiller) ear?
And all these years later, she’s decided to recreate it for the ‘gram - and bizarrely doesn’t seem to have aged a day.

Check it out below:
The funny clip, which is actually an advert for Diaz’s wine brand Avaline, shows a couple of pals - including comedian Benito Skinner - heading over to her house with some of the aforementioned wine.
While the friends are driving over, the camera cuts to Diaz who is sitting casually scrolling through her phone and looking at stills from There’s Something About Mary.

The doorbell rings and Diaz pops off to answer it, opening the door to reveal Skinner dressed in the familiar red dress she wore, as well as a short blond wig with the erm… signature quiff.
At first Diaz appears to be a little bit shocked before she does a quick transition and recreates the look herself.
The camera then cuts to the pals - both in full costume - knocking back a can of wine.

But if this advert got your hopes up for the possibility of a There’s Something About Mary sequel, then I have bad news, because Diaz announced her retirement from Hollywood a few years back.
Diaz's last acting role was in 2014's Annie, and she has since spoken about her reasons for quitting the industry.
Speaking to Gwyneth Paltrow on an episode of Goop Health: The Sessions in 2020, Diaz said: "I just decided that I wanted different things out of my life. I had gone so hard for so long, working, making films and it's such a grind."

She went on: "It's so intense to work at that level and be that public and put yourself out there. There's a lot of energy coming at you at all times when you're really visible as an actor and doing press and putting yourself out there.
"I'm sensitive to energy, some energies and not others, but I do get the overwhelming energy of the attention that's being put toward me."
