Jane Fonda was ‘awestruck’ and became weak at the knees after meeting football legend Tom Brady.
Fonda stars in the upcoming comedy flick 80 For Brady, in which she plays Trish - an older woman and huge football fan - who travels to Houston with her three pals Lou (Lily Tomlin), Maura (Rita Moreno) and Betty (Sally Field) to see the the New England Patriots and their hero Brady play in the 2017 Super Bowl.

Alongside the ladies mentioned above, Brady also stars in the film, alongside cameo appearances from Brady’s former New England Patriot teammates Rob Gronkowski, Danny Amendola and Julian Edelman.

But it seems it was Brady in particular that left Fonda feeling bowled over, with the 85-year-old star admitting to being in ‘awe’.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter about meeting him for the first time, she said: “My knees actually got weak when he walked into my trailer. I’m in awe of that kind of skill. When somebody is the best in the world at what they do, you have to honour that and respect it. I was just awestruck.”
Fonda also revealed that meeting ‘gorgeous’ Brady had left her so weak at the knees that she had to grab something to hold onto it.

Speaking during a Q&A, she said: “Tom Brady, I think he went into all of our trailers individually. And when he walked into my trailer at the end, my knees gave way. I had to hold onto something. I mean, he is gorgeous. He is so gorgeous.”
She added: “Tom was so gracious when he first came on the set to buy lunch. It was the first time he went to each of our trailers, which were our dressing rooms, and he introduced himself as though we didn’t know who he was.
“But again, a true gentleman. He was gracious. And I had one of those huge football sweatshirts waiting for him because my nephew is an enormous fan, and he was so gracious. And [Tom] wrote on it for him, and my nephew now has that on the wall in a frame. [Tom] just has very good manners like that.”

And it appears as though Brady - who was an executive producer on the movie - was equally as impressed, revealing he felt it was an ‘honour’ to work with the stars.
During an interview with People, he said: “The opportunity to work alongside these four amazingly talented women has truly been a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
“Not only are they true professionals and experts at their craft, but they are even better people, and it was an honour to be on set with them."
