Having been in the spotlight since childhood, Miley Cyrus has gotten pretty good at dealing with the pitfalls of fame.
This includes her wardrobe malfunction, which happened as the actor-turned-singer was performing live as part of an NYE special.
Whilst most of us would never want to go outside again, the former Disney star had a pretty good attitude to the embarrassing moment.
For those who didn’t tune in or got a little too into the holiday spirit, here’s what happened.

The singer had been hosting the NBC, Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party, with Pete Davidson – with Cyrus performing live during the holiday special.
Whilst the Miami audience and viewers at home were treated to a mix of live music and comedy skits, the 30-year-old had to make a quick stage exit as the chain on her top broke while she performed her iconic track, ‘Party in the USA’.
Brushing off the mishap, she walked towards the back of the stage and effortlessly disappeared to do a quick change before reappearing with a cherry red blazer on.
She even playfully changed the lyrics of her classic track to ‘Everybody’s definitely looking at me now’ before quipping: "I’m still in the most clothes that I’ve ever worn on stage."

Though most of us might have panicked, the former Hannah Montana star had a brilliant response as she recalled the incident.
Appearing in a video for British Vogue, the Disney Channel alum spoke about her most memorable outfits – including the silver chainmail top.
“This outfit did not stay on very long because the chain in the back broke. But what is a live TV performance with everything going right?” Cyrus joked during the interview with the high-brow magazine.

She continued, adding that the event had hinged on her and Davidson’s, um, wild reputations.
“Live TV is a tight-rope walk. They want to see you dangle, but they don’t want to see you fall,” Cyrus explained.
“We had promoted the show as, 'It’s Miley Cyrus and Pete Davidson, they’re so wild, you never know what’s going to happen.”
Teasing that she was ‘pretty classy ‘compared to her co-host and that ratings were ‘skyrocketing’, The Last Song actor then made one final joke about the incident.

“Show your boobs and you get renewed,” she laughed, “Dolly taught me that.”
Well, we guess you have to be able to laugh at yourself in showbiz – maybe next year Pete take the fall.
