Let’s talk about penises, specifically, how Bridgerton heartthrob Jonathan Bailey chose the best dong for himself while on set for his latest project.
Okay, there’s never a good time to talk about penises, but we’ll get through this together.
Not only are we talking about them, but we’re talking about their ‘personalities’. That’s right.

According to Bailey, who was recently working on Fellow Travelers - an American political romance series with Paramount Plus - there’s a lot that goes into choosing the perfect one.
He shared that he chose the perfect prosthetic penis by diving into his character.
The show, which also stars Matt Bomer, tells the tale of two men who meet in the 1950s, during McCarthyism - the political repression and persecution of left-wing individuals.

Hawkins Fuller, also known as Hawk (Bomer) isn’t out of the closet yet and is a WWII veteran and current employee of the State Department.
He then goes on to meet Tim Laughlin (Bailey), who is a staff member in Congress, and the rest is history.
Of course, the show features a fair bit of nudity, which lead to Bailey hand-selecting a prosthetic penis to wear - one which felt right for him and the character - before being shown on-screen to viewers around the world.

Basically, he chose them via his gut-feeling.
He said during an interview on Late Night with Seth Meyers: “They’ve all got their different personalities. When you’re approaching character you think emotionally, cerebrally, and then you have to really make a big choice.”
He was then asked: “Is that what you did? You made the big choice?”
The English actor quickly denied his choice was a ‘big’ one and explained: “No, no, no! I think it’s only fair — I believe in representation for everyone.”

He then showed everyone some examples, before talking about a funny prank on set, saying: “On the last day Beth, my amazing wardrobe assistant, cheered me up.”
The actor went on to show a photo which displayed his nude protective layer with two googly eyes and Tim’s prosthetic penis as its nose.
No matter how fun the set was, there were some questions about why he decided to take on the role in the first place.

According to Bailey, it was the chance to educate himself.
He said to the Hollywood Reporter: “I heard that Ron [Nyswanner] was going to be investigating and exploring 40 years of queer life and experience.
"But at that time, it looked like I might not be available.
“I pursued it. And after doing something like Bridgerton, it felt important to me to find something rich and complex.
“There’s nothing more of a gift than to be able to educate yourself, and also in the investigation and in the performance of it, to live a really dangerous life, but within safety, and, ultimately, write this love letter to those that came before us.
"I was enchanted by the idea, and there was no part of me that didn’t think it was the punkest thing to do.”
