People are flooding to social media to say the same thing after footage from the first iPhone announcement by Steve Jobs resurfaced.
The first ever iPhone - the iPhone 2G - was unveiled by Apple's co-founder Steve Jobs 17 years ago in 2007. Feel old yet?
Resurfaced footage has shown the moment Jobs revealed some of the phone's features to an audience and their reaction has social media users all saying the same thing.
Jobs unveiled the iPhone in front of a live audience, giving a demonstration as to how the device works.

A video taken by CNN shows Jobs turning the phone's screen on and then unlocking the device.
"I just take my finger and slide it across," he says, before repeating the move - technology no one had ever seen before.
Jobs continued: "We wanted something you couldn't do by accident in your pocket, just slide it across. Boom."
He then demonstrated how to get into 'songs, videos and more' as well as how to scroll through content.

And the audience at the time's reaction has everyone talking.
Historic Vids shared a clip of the footage to X, alongside the caption: "Listen to the crowds reaction during the announcement of the first iPhone. It really shows how far we've come."
Indeed, when Jobs shows actions such as opening the device and scrolling up and down within apps, he's met with cheers and applause from audience members.

And many other X users have echoed Historic Vids' sentiment.
One said: "It was really so exciting!! We have come a LONG WAY!"
"Can you imagine. iPhone has come a long way," another added.

A third commented: "It's been a long ride since then."
And a fourth wrote: "It's been a long journey so far with the innovations.
Indeed, Apple certainly has come a long way since then, having released over 38 mobile phones since first getting going in 2007.
Oh, and technology has advanced so much that it's not just iPhones which are leaving people gobsmacked, but devices like the Apple Air Vision Pro, too which currently have people walking around in public with the headset strapped across their eyes.

It would seem the world has indeed turned into an episode of Black Mirror and with Facebook and Instagram having gone down yesterday (March 5), all we can hope is it doesn't soon turn into the plot of Leave the World Behind too.
