As if we couldn't love the festive season anymore, Ryan Reynolds has revealed his plans to make a Christmas movie starring everyone's favourite hero.
We're just going to come right out and say it - Deadpool is the best character to come out of Marvel and we'll fight anyone that doesn't agree.
And, in an unlikely turn of events, it seems that the superhero might get his very own holiday movie. Seriously, how cool would that be?

Making our dreams come true, Reynolds has revealed that the script for a Deadpool Christmas movie very much exists.
In an interview with Big Issue, the actor explained that the script had actually been hanging around for four years.
"I would love to see a song and dance number in a Deadpool movie," he explained.

"Four years ago [Deadpool co-writers] Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick and I wrote a Christmas movie starring Deadpool. But it got lost in the shuffle of Disney acquiring Fox and it never got made.
"Maybe one day we'll get to make that movie. It's not a musical, but it's a full Deadpool Christmas movie. So one day."
Yep, a full-on Deadpool Christmas movie, and, honestly, we'd be queueing at the cinema to see it!

Still, if you're not satisfied spending the holiday season without a festive Reynolds on your screen, don't worry, because the actor's latest release will sort you right out.
Reynolds' new Christmas film Spirited, which set Apple TV+ back a whopping $75 million, is already getting rave reviews.
For those not familiar with the film, it stars our absolute faves Reynolds and Will Ferrell in a modern-day retelling of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol.
Check out a trailer for the new film here:
As the official synopsis reads: "Each Christmas Eve, the Ghost of Christmas Present (Will Ferrell) selects one dark soul to be reformed by a visit from three spirits.

"But this season, he picked the wrong Scrooge. Clint Briggs (Ryan Reynolds) turns the tables on his ghostly host until Present finds himself re-examining his past, present, and future.
"For the first time, A Christmas Carol is told from the perspective of the ghosts in this hilarious musical twist on the classic Dickens tale."
Sounds like loads of fun, right?
And given the film's all-star cast and talented director Sean Anders (Horrible Bosses 2, That’s My Boy and Instant Family), it's safe to say it'll hold us over until the Deadpool Christmas film gets released.
