One noted how thoroughly they agreed with the casting choices, specifically that of Cynthia Erivo as the Blue Fairy. "She looks ethereal without being stereotypical or a carbon copy of the original. Can't wait to see her take as Elphaba in the "Wicked" movies!" they said.
"If Tom Hanks doesn't yell "YOU ARE A TOY!!!!" to Pinocchio, I'd be so dissapointed," another added.
A third noted: "Tom Hanks + Robert Zemeckis + Alan Silvestri = The Dream Team coming back for Disney. Can't lie I'm exited."
Others expressed a hesitance with how frequently live-action remakes are being produced.

Although many argued that despite this, Pinocchio looks like it's set to be one of the better ones.
"This looks really cool!! I'm not a fan of barely any of the live actions made so far but this one genuinely looks like one I'll like!" one said.
Pinocchio is currently set to premiere exclusively on Disney Plus on Thursday, 8 September, 2022.
