Britney Spears has deleted her Instagram post questioning the mysterious death of Brittany Murphy.
In December 2009, the 32-year-old Clueless star was found collapsed in her bathroom and later passed away from a combination of pneumonia, anaemia and a mixture of over-the-counter and prescribed drug medications.
However, fans of the star raised questions surrounding her death due to it feeling very sudden, leading to a documentary called What Happened, Brittany Murphy? being released onto HBO Max.

It appears that Toxic singer Britney Spears also has questions surrounding Murphy's death, after she took to Instagram to ask her followers if anyone else was still 'curious' about the incident too.
On Friday, March 4, Spears shared a picture of a cover of People magazine featuring Murphy and the title, 'What really happened to Brittany Murphy?'
She captioned the image: 'I saw this online today …. is anybody else curious ??? She died at 32 … HMMMMMMMMMMM… JUST SAYING !!!! Psss I know it was a while ago but come on …they are STILL INVESTIGATING !!!!'

However, Spears has since taken down the post, giving no reason as to why.
In the two-part HBO Max docuseries surrounding Murphy's death, which was released onto the platform in October 2021, the actress' relationship with her husband Simon Monjack was put under scrutiny.
Monjack died just five months after the Clueless actress at the age of 40 under similar circumstances and was reportedly described 'as a disturbed individual used to conning people' by director Cynthia Hill, as per People.
It is unclear as to why Spears expressed such an interest in Murphy's death only to later retract her Instagram post.

However, a potential reported tie between the pair noted that while the singer was still dating Justin Timberlake, Murphy bought her Hollywood Hills house from her.
Spears has also recently taken to Instagram to post a series of nude photographs, sparking a widespread conversation about ageism.
The star reminded followers that she is a 'free woman' and can do whatever she wants with her body, after her self expression at 40 was branded as 'disgusting' despite her having previously been praised for baring her body at the age of just 17 on the cover of Rolling Stone.
