A TikToker is facing widespread criticism online for seemingly tricking his vegetarian wife into eating meat.
A chef who goes by 'The Meat Teacher' on the platform decided to skip giving his wife a lesson about why she should eat meat and simply cook her a snack using animal products and feed it to her without her knowing.
And the move hasn't gone down well with social media users.
In the video, uploaded in September, the TikToker can be seen on a camping trip with his wife and children, telling his partner he's making 'Almond oil french fries'.

Little does his wife know, The Meat Teacher holds up a pot of Wagyu Beef Tallow to the camera, popping two huge scoops of the meat product into a pan before frying the chips in it.
He then gives his children some fries to munch on, before offering a couple up to his wife, who takes the chips without hesitation.
The TikToker whispers: "I'm a dead man."
Well, considering the TikToker is still active on the platform, it would look like he's survived his wife's wrath.

Unfortunately for him, that doesn't mean he's escaped the fury of social media users.
Many TikTokers flocked to the original post in stitches over the trick. One user said: "This is making my day so much better."
However, over on Reddit, others definitely didn't agree.
A user named u/Simple_Distance9798 shared the TikToker's video on the thread r/facepalm and it's received floods of angry comments.

One user named u/sensitivetax9432 said: "I can understand him not cooking with vegan oil, but lying about it is never cool."
"Either way this is s**tty. Anyone who does this s**t is doing s***ty s**t and I think they're s***ty s**ts who need to quit doing this s**t," u/xneurianx said.
Others were quick to argue they're pretty certain the video must be 'staged'.

"Yes I'm sure his wife has no idea about their own TikTok account," u/gobananagopudding said.
U/xneurianx resolved: "1) Pretty much no vegetarian would be unable to identify the smell of cooking meat fat. We don't live in bubbles. 2) He's done a whole host of these now. After the first viral video of your husband humiliating you, you'd stop eating anything he gave you. Especially on camera. Or; 3) She's not a vegetarian, or she's a 'vegetarian' who doesn't care about things cooked in meat products."
