Footage has captured the shocking moment a man over in the US miraculously escaped getting shot at point-blank range.
Rather than divine intervention, the victim managed to get away from the shooter after his gun jammed.
In a security camera video captured by a home's Ring doorbell, the man can be seen running away from his home as the doors to his garage lift up.

According to police reports, the victim had returned home and had parked his car when the attacker descended upon him.
As he runs to a nearby property where the security camera is installed, he's chased by the gunman who is just metres behind him.
They come to a standstill before the victim tries to open the garden gate, and it's at this point the perpetrator fires several shots right at his target at point-blank range.

Had he delivered any of the bullets, the man would likely be dead right now. However, as is shown in the clip, the gun looks as if it has jammed and fails to fire.
With the weapon seemingly faulty, the man escapes to the safety of his neighbour's house while the suspect runs to a car parked nearby and flees.
No doubt he was severely shaken by the near miss, although since the investigation is still ongoing no statements have been released at the time of writing.
