The question on every gamer’s lips right now is when GTA VI will be released.
After countless hints, leaks and tips, a man who definitely knows a thing or two about the upcoming game has shed some light on the release. Check out what he has to say:
Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick spoke to CNBC this month about the state of the video game market post-lockdown, which has been described as being ‘a little tougher than expected’.

When one of the journalists says the video game industry has been in recession for 18 months after experiencing a ‘big boom’ during Covid, Zelnick says that the industry is now starting to stabilize.
“The long-term outlook for the industry is exceedingly positive,” Zelnick said.
The CEO of Rockstar Games’ parent company was asked specifically about a release date for the hotly anticipated sequel game, to which he responded: “We leave the announcement of our upcoming titles to our labels and we have said we have a very robust pipeline of titles and we have a great outlook for fiscal 2025 where we’ve reiterated our belief that we’ll generate about $8 billion in net bookings and over $1 billion in adjusted operating cash flow.

"So, pretty exciting time but we haven’t spoken about the specific release schedule but we have titles coming from all of our labels.”
Believe us when we say Zelnick’s answer gives GTA fans a lot to get excited about, because the fiscal 2025 window suggests that the game will be released between 1 April, 2024 and 31 March, 2025.
Although it's not a massive change from what we were already expecting, it narrows it down a bit.
Almost a decade has passed since GTA V launched on 17 September, 2013.

There have been leaks, arrests because of the leaks and claims to have found snippets of gameplay to tease and tantalize fans with while they wait for the the day when the game finally launches.
Previously, Strauss had been speaking to The Aarthi and Sriram Show when the topic of GTA VI came up in conversation.
He did well to keep any spoilers or details under wraps, but while speaking about the difficulty of making solid sequels, he admitted it's no easy task.

Strauss said: "I think that's a challenge that the folks at Rockstar face every time there's a new iteration of Grand Theft Auto.
"It needs to be something you've never seen before on the one hand, and it needs to reflect the feeling that we have about Grand Theft Auto. That's a big challenge for the team.
"Now, Rockstar's answer is just seek perfection; seek nothing short of perfection, and we'll get there."
Hopefully we won't have to wait too long, folks!
