Tribute posts for actor Andrew Braugher have begun flowing in following the news that the 61-year-old has died.
Terry Crews, who worked with Andrew Braugher for over 8 years while the pair starred in comedy cop-drama Brooklyn-Nine-Nine, has shared his own post on social media about his passing.
Braugher’s publicist, Jennifer Allen, confirmed the actor’s death to Variety on late Tuesday (December 12).

Reports have indicated that he died on December 11 after a ‘brief illness’.
He is probably most well known for playing Captain Ray Holt on the hit cop comedy TV show and Crews reflected on how appreciative he is for working with him.
“Can’t believe you’re gone so soon. I’m honored to have known you, laughed with you, worked with you and shared 8 glorious years watching your irreplaceable talent,” Crews wrote in an Instagram post.
He continued: “This hurts. You left us too soon. You taught me so much. I will be forever grateful for the experience of knowing you.

“Thank you for your wisdom, your advice, your kindness and your friendship. Deepest condolences to your wife and family in this difficult time. You showed me what a life well lived looks like.
“Rest In Peace, Andre. I love you, man. #ninenine”
Fans of the show also confessed how they would view the show differently now after the news of his passing and posted tribute messages to the actor.

“Oh my goodness. This is so sad. I am so sorry for your loss Terry. Sending love,” one user wrote.
“It is with deep sorrow that I receive the news of the passing of the now eternal Captain Holt, from Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” another user wrote.
“I remember when my mother was still with us, we used to watch this series on Netflix. It helped us a lot in one of our worst moments.

“Such shocking and sad news… He was incredible actor, and an incredible human being … I feel lucky I had the privilege to work with him a few times..… We lost a great one… My condolences to his family and his friends,” Canadian actor Patrick Gallagher wrote on Crews’ post.
