Ghost Adventures host’s wife is arrested in alleged murder for hire plot against him

The host has said he thought he was in a happy marriage

Police have confirmed they have made an arrest in relation to a murder plot against Ghost Adventures host Aaron Goodwin.

Ghost Adventures episodes tend to have a few surprises in store for the hosts, but it's doubtful that Goodwin was expecting this...

Police have said that Goodwin’s wife, Victoria Goodwin, has been arrested for an alleged plot to hire a hitman to murder him.

Victoria was reportedly arrested last week and currently faces two charges - solicitation to commit murder and conspiracy to commit murder - according to booking information in Clark County, Nevada.

Her first court appearance is due today (March 11) amid the allegations she sought out the hitman and had been in contact with him in hopes that he would do the deed in October last year.

The arrest report states that Victoria was messaging an inmate in a Florida prison about getting out of her marriage to Goodwin.

At one point during their conversations, she allegedly asked 'Am I a bad person? Because I chose to end his existence. Not divorce'.

Authorities have also said that Victoria provided information about her husband’s whereabouts, as well as the filming times and locations while he was shooting Ghost Adventurers in California.

Victoria allegedly tried to have Goodwin killed while he was on location filming with paranormal investigator Zak Bagans.

Police have also revealed that within the text messages there is talk of $2,500 upfront payment for the murder of the reality TV star.

As well as this, authorities said Victoria had set aside more than $11,000 to pay the alleged hitman, and the inmate had also communicated with another individual about the plot.

Authorities say he text a person saying: "He's asleep right now in the hotel room ... I need to know what's going on. Can I get an update. Was it done?"

Thankfully, Goodwin is alive and well and the plot was discovered when the inmate’s contraband phone was discovered by prison officers.

Victoria has denied wanting to kill her husband, however, and has said she was simply daydreaming or fantasizing about getting out of her marriage.

The pair got married in August 2022 at the Haunted Mansion in Disneyland.

Speaking to TMZ, Goodwin said he was blindsided by the news and had believed he was in a happy marriage.

Victoria is still in police custody, according to the outlet, and is being held on a $100k bail.
