When you marry a comedian, you basically sign up for the prospect of being the butt of your partner's jokes.
This is something Scarlett Johansson learnt the hard way after she was brought up during a segment on Saturday Night Live (SNL) that her husband, Colin Jost, was on.
Jost has been a staff writer on SNL for two decades, and wed Black Widow star Johansson in 2020.

The comic is best known for his 'Weekend Update' segment, which he does with fellow comedian Michael Che.
For the bit, the pair write each other's jokes, both of which they cannot see in advance.
And recently Che asked if Johansson would be OK with being mentioned and, while she gave it the green light, it's safe to say she had no idea how far the jokes would go.

For the segment in question which aired on December 21, Johansson's reactions to the remarks were filmed.
Her response quickly went viral as the actor was genuinely aghast.
One joke that really left Johansson floored was once about her vagina.

Speaking about the son he shares with Johansson, Jost said: "Costco has removed the roast beef sandwich from their menu. But I ain’t tripping. I’ve been eating roast beef every night since my wife had the kid."
While Johansson knew a vagina-related joke was on the cards, both she and the audience weren't expecting that.
Now Johansson has discussed her reaction in more detail while on TODAY With Jenna & Friends earlier this week.
Host Jenna Bush Hager brought up the hilarious SNL segment that was aired last month.
"It got so vulgar," Johansson said as Bush Hager noted that they couldn't show much of the show because it was so risqué and not made for day time TV.

Going on to note that she got a little bit of a heads up about being mentioned and the nature of the jokes, the actor said she told the SNL team: "I don't want to get canceled or divorced. Those are my boundaries."
Recalling what it was like when the jokes were being told as she was filmed, the Marriage Story star continued: "Honestly, Jenna, I felt like it was like To Catch a Predator when the lights kind of came on me and suddenly there was a whole audience."
Fortunately, the A-lister had a 'very stiff cocktail' in her hand at the time, she quipped.

Emma Stone was also at the SNL studio at the time and she labeled the jokes as 'not OK'.
"My heart was racing, my eyes were watering, my hands were [shaking]. It was very surreal," Johansson went on to say of the experience.
