What Sophie Turner said on doorbell camera that led to divorce from Joe Jonas has been revealed

A source said that the footage was the 'final straw' which led Jonas to file for divorce

The topic of what Joe Jonas allegedly caught Sophie Turner saying on ring camera footage has been revealed.

Earlier this month, Jonas, 34, filed for divorce from his wife of four years and Game of Thrones actor Turner, 27.

At the time, multiple sources reportedly came forward and told TMZ that ring camera footage had captured Turner ‘saying and/or doing something’ which made her former husband realise the pair’s marriage was over.

While the original outlet didn’t reveal what Jonas allegedly saw, a source has since come forward and spoke to US Weekly about the reported recording.

Speaking to the outlet, the anonymous source said that the doorbell caught the mum-of-two saying ‘some not-so-nice things about Jonas’ to a friend of hers.

“It wasn’t anything more than that, but that was the final straw,” they claimed.

“Nobody thought things would get this nasty between Joe and Sophie. Friends are hopeful they can be mature for the sake of the kids, but neither one is going to acquiesce to the other. This could go on for a very long time.”

However, the actual words allegedly spoken by Turner on the ring camera are still unknown.

On the same day that speculations arose regarding the ring camera footage, Turner and Jonas released a joint statement announcing their break-up.

Jonas and Turner coordinated to write a joint statement, announcing their marriage was over.

Taking to Instagram, they wrote: “After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage.

“There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”

Rumours that Turner and the Jonas Brothers star had begun dating began circulating in 2016 when the latter was spotted with his arm around his to-be-wife at the MTV EMA Awards.

In a later interview with Marie Claire, the Do Revenge star admitted that they had previously been introduced by mutual friends.

Jonas and Turner first sparked dating rumours in 2016.

After a year of dating, the pair announced their engagement in October 2017 and tied the knot in May 2019 in a surprise Las Vegas wedding.

In July 2020, Turner and Jonas welcomed their first child, Willa, before adding a second daughter, Delphine, to their family in July 2022.

However, in September 2023, Jonas filed for divorce from his wife - citing that their marriage was “irretrievably broken.”

During a live Jonas Brothers show at Los Angeles’ Dodger Stadium on 9 September, the former Disney actor said he’d experienced a ‘tough week’.

“I just wanna say, look, if you don’t hear it from these lips, don’t believe it. Okay?

“Thank you everyone for your love and support. Me and my family love you guys,” he added.

On September 21, Turner filed a lawsuit against her ex-husband for ‘wrongful retention’ of their three and one-year-old daughters.

As per People, the suit demanded “the immediate return of children wrongfully removed or wrongfully retained.”

Court documents read that Jonas had "possession of the children’s passports’ and that he was ‘refusing to return the passports to the mother."

It was also stated that Jonas and Turner had decided in conversation in December 2022 that England would become their 'forever home' and that the end of the couple’s marriage occurred 'very suddenly'.
