Selena Gomez has shown her support for her ‘best friend’ Taylor Swift after a resurfaced video of Hailey Bieber throwing some serious shade at her bubbled back to the surface.
Check out the video – and a bit of Selena’s reaction – below:

So, there’s a bit to work through here, but it basically seems that Selena took offence at a clip from Bieber’s old rap battle show Drop the Mic, in which she could be seen pretending to gag on her finger at the very mention of Taylor Swift’s name.
When that TikTok started to go viral again, Selena posted a comment underneath calling Bieber a ‘mean girl’.
In the short video, Bieber’s co-host Method Man – of Wu-Tang Clan fame – said that one of the rap battles on the programme had ‘some of the meanest lyrics about a celebrity since Taylor Swift’s last album’.
However, at the very mention of Swift’s name, Bieber put her finger in her mouth and mimed a vomiting motion.

She shrugged it off at the time, and it’s only a small thing, but the internet notices everything.
It bears repeating – the internet notices everything.
Underneath that video is where the real drama took place, however.

Gomez posted a comment that said: “So sorry, my best friend is and continues to be one of the best in the game.”
This has all taken place just a short time after Hailey and Kylie Jenner were accused of taking the p**s out of Selena’s eyebrows on Instagram.
After that, the make-up tycoon issued a swift – no pun intended – denial, claiming that the allegations of mockery were ‘silly’.

She added: “No shade towards Selena ever. I didn’t see her eyebrow posts! U [sic] guys are making something out of nothing. This is silly.”
It really is, honestly.
Perhaps not for the reason she means, though.
Still, let’s persevere through this together, shall we?

After that happened, Selena decided to clear the air properly, agreeing with Kylie’s comments and saying that the speculation was ‘all unnecessary’, concluding: “I’m a fan of Kylie!”
With that, Gomez went back to her Instagram where she recently became the most followed woman on the whole damn site.
That means that she can turn quite a profit for her sponsored posts, making more than $1.7m per post.
Not bad work, if you can get it.
I suppose to get that work you have to be able to expose a product to 381 million people on one of the world’s biggest social media platforms.
Back to the drawing board we go, then... There must be easier ways to make a million bucks.
